zencircle-end.jpg Though not a requisite for the study of Budo (martial arts) many students find that an investigation into the philosophical constructs of Zen very rewarding. The Bushi of old also found that the pursuit of Zen assisted them in their training of Budo. This page will try to bring to the student a greater understanding of some of the thoughts, stories and underpinnings of Zen and how they may relate to Budo.

Often, they try to show the folly in the way we look at our situations and they try to point to the truth in a way that brings greater personal understanding to the reader than simply a lecture.
