How can I obtain training materials from The IBI? |

|
Training materials can be obtained several ways.
First, you can simply view the pages in this web site that explain the
various techniques and terminology used by The Institute. This is
completely free and only requires that the visitor to the site to
register (for free) on the site. Registration is quick and easy. The
Institute has a mandate to provide all materials below the Black Belt
level free of charge to students and visitors. This is in keeping with
the adoption by The Institute of Article 26 of The United Nations
declaration of Human Rights which states that education at the
fundamental level should be free to all. Moreover, we hope that by
making these materials available for free it will help to reinforce the
positive outlook that visitors will have on the Budo community in
general.
Second, you may purchase whichever materials you desire. Most
materials are electronic and can be downloaded immediately off the site
by way of the bookstore or related web page. Once downloaded you can
begi to study right away. The downloadable materials include video
files to assist in teaching. These files are rather large and as such
must be downloaded as a purchased good.
The last method is to enroll in a monitored course study with
The Institute. Monitored courses will begin within the next months.
When entering a monitored course study the student is giving a monitor
or coach of Sensei rank to follow their progression and assist them
with any problems or challenges they might be having. Within these
courses the student completes each course work and moves on in the
curriculum until he or she is able to pass that level, eventually the
Black Belt exam as well. During the course work the student is provided
the necessary materials to complete the course. Once these courses are
opened you will be able to follow these courses by obtaining a
membership in the bookstore and then by obtaining the necessary course
work. There will be 5 courses designed for each level below Black Belt
and each level above Black Belt to 5th Dan.
