Shi Shi Ryu No Bo is the standard Bo (6 foot staff) Kata taught within The International Budo Institute. It is usually taught after Black Belt at the 2nd or 3rd Dan (level). The Kata originates from Kudaka Island in Okinawa and has been passed down to the Instructores of the IBI from the Hisataka family. The Kata contains approximately 40 moves. It is characterized by long flowing movements with quick and strong stricking techniques.
