1. Attention stance.
Notice that attention stance is similar to Heisoku Dachi except that the toes are pointed away in a 45 degree fashion. This difference makes the stance more stable and easier to hold for longer periods of time.
Above, Shihan Henderson is demonstrating the proper form of the attention stance.
Common errors include: 1. holding the hands on the front of the thighs instead of at the sides , as shown, 2. tilting to either the left or right or not standing straight with the shoulders back.
